From keeping products moving seamlessly to supporting the team daily, he’s truly at the heart of Senza Cosmetics.

Tell us a bit about yourself:

I am an experienced Production and Warehouse Manager with about 7 years in the cosmetics industry, backed by a Bachelor of Science and specialized training in cosmetic science. I am a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional known for my strong work ethic, adaptability and a proactive "can-do" attitude. I take pride in delivering high-quality results, following through on projects and ensuring excellent customer service. With strong communication and analytical skills, I thrive in dynamic environments and excel at managing multiple priorities under pressure.

Alfred, you’ve been with Senza Cosmetics for 7 years now, what has kept you motivated and passionate about being part of this journey?

I’ve always been passionate about science and research, and cosmetics gave me the chance to turn that curiosity into something meaningful. Over the past 7 years at Senza, I’ve grown as a production and warehouse manager while shaping my own way of working, blending precision with creativity. What drives me most is seeing our progress; from a single store when I started to now more than 20, each offering products people trust. Hearing how our skincare and fragrances boost confidence reminds me why I push boundaries, it’s proof that every bottle reflects my dedication to quality.

Heritage Month is all about celebrating our roots and culture. How has your South African heritage influenced the way you approach your work and life?

My South African heritage has shaped the way I approach both work and life at Senza Cosmetics. Growing up in such a diverse and vibrant culture taught me the importance of resilience, creativity and community. In the production and warehouse space, that translates into working with pride, adapting quickly to challenges and making sure that what we create reflects the richness of our people. Everyone has a different culture and belief system, and I’ve learned to treat and respect each person the same by taking the time to understand where they come from and what they value. Most importantly, I try to bring a positive outlook and an ‘I can do this’ attitude to everything I do. South Africans have a spirit of turning challenges into opportunities and I carry that mindset into my daily work; whether it’s solving production hurdles, finding smarter ways to operate, or ensuring that every product leaving our doors carries the warmth, quality and uniqueness that our heritage stands for.

Fragrance has a way of evoking memories and emotions. Do you have a favourite scent that reminds you of something special in your own story?

My favourite Senza scent has to be PER DDR21 - M. It’s the fragrance I was wearing when I first joined Senza Cosmetics, so every time I come across it, it instantly takes me back to that exciting moment of starting my journey here. For me, it carries a strong sense of confidence and boldness, almost like a reminder to step forward with courage. That’s why it feels nostalgic; not just because of the fragrance itself, but because it represents a chapter in my own story where I was defining who I am, both professionally and personally. Whenever I smell it, I’m reminded of how far I’ve come and the passion that keeps me going.

Working behind the scenes often means people don’t always see the heart that goes into the work. What is one thing you’re most proud of when it comes to being part of the Senza family?

I’m most proud of the resilience and teamwork within the Senza family. Even though much of the work happens behind the scenes, every detail is handled with care, and seeing how our efforts translate into products that people love makes it worth it. Knowing that my contribution plays a part in that bigger picture is something I carry with pride.

If you could describe Senza Cosmetics in just three words, based on your experience, what would they be and why?

Creative, Determined and Supportive.

Creative, because Senza is never afraid to explore fresh ideas and bring unique products to life. Determined, because no matter the obstacles, we always find a way to keep progressing. And Supportive, because being part of Senza feels like belonging to a team that truly encourages and cares for one another.

I would like to sincerely thank everyone who has believed in me and supported my journey along the way. The road has not always been smooth, but every challenge has only made me stronger and today, I’m proud to still be standing.
